Surrounded by rolling savannah, across which wanders a glorious pageant of wildlife, this exclusive tented camp blends the welcome, simplicity, and vibrancy of Masai culture with the opulence of a five-star experience. Featuring twelve tents, a central lounge and dining area, a tented bar set deep within a forested glade, and a shaded swimming pool, the Olare Mara Kempinski Masai Mara delivers the ultimate fusion of untamed wilderness and sophisticated elegance. Meanwhile, the action includes campfire cocktails, sundowners on the plains, game drives, guided walks, balloon safaris, horse-riding, and a colorful range of cultural interaction.

Access

Masai Mara is 260 km from Nairobi and takes 5 ½ hours drive by road and 40 minutes by air.

Transfer from the airstrip to the camp takes 20 minutes.

The airstrip is serviced by:

• Safarilink – from Nairobi twice daily
• Air Kenya – from Nairobi twice daily
• Charter flights as scheduled

Climate

Mainly humid, with temperatures averaging 26°C during the day and 12°C at night.  Long rains are anticipated from mid-April to May and short rains from November to early December.
